Samsung’s Galaxy S9 has been hit by a nasty pricing problem, but if you are prepared to splash out regardless there’s good news. Samsung didn’t announce it at the launch, but the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus both hide a great secret feature…

While you may have to pay more for Samsung’s new Galaxy smartphones than you hoped, it seems you could save money when it comes to repair bills. Despite having similar looks to last year’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, SamMobile has discovered both new models are substantially tougher.

1. More Durable Display

While smartphones always pickup bumps, scratches and scuffs, the one that really hurts is a cracked display. To this end Samsung has made both Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus displays 20% thicker than the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, bumping their front glass thickness value from 0.5T to 0.6T.
